Bike Adventure (20 km)
Description
Day
Just a few minutes from Saint-Louis, behind the Guembeul reserve, you will set off for a bike ride of about 20 km. Equipped with your helmets and a water bottle full of water, you will set off on tracks through the Sahelian savannah, acacias, small baobabs, dunes and a few water points.
Along the way, a short break will be scheduled on the dunes to have time to fully admire the scenery in which you will find yourself and perhaps even take some photos. Afterwards, you will put your foot back on the pedal and set off to meet villagers, carters, children and women hard at work in the fields.
You will certainly have the pleasant surprise of crossing paths with green monkeys, be careful with your personal belongings with these little rascals, or pink flamingos near the lakes. When the heat starts to become unbearable, you will stop at the Zebrabar campsite, located on the banks of the river in the Langue de Barbarie reserve to enjoy a good lunch. After this more than sporty morning, you will have a relaxing afternoon where you can swim in the river and recharge your batteries in the sun!
Optional at Zebrabar:
- Boat ride to discover the reserve with a park eco-guard (paying)
- Kayak ride (paying)
- Volleyball match
- Nap in a hammock
At the end of the afternoon, you will return to Saint-Louis (And for the bravest, it is possible to do a larger circuit of 60 km…).
