Your guide will be waiting for you at 8 o’clock to head towards the famous Lake Guiers. After having driven on sandy tracks and having been shaken in all directions for a good wake-up, you will arrive at the weekly market which takes place on Fridays in Mpal and on Saturdays in Keur Momar Sarr. You will have the opportunity to walk among the sellers, the buyers and to blend into the crowd.
This market can be considered as a weekly crossroads of civilizations as you will find goods as much Senegalese as Mauritanian. A real game of negotiation will start for you whether it is to buy fruits, vegetables or souvenirs.
We will then hit the road again to take you to a slightly quieter setting on the shores of Lake Guiers. You will settle there to picnic under a tree right on the ground, with a view of children galloping on horses and bathing in the lake water… what could be more soothing when it’s so hot! After recharging your batteries, you will set off to visit a small traditional village not far from there and get to know the villagers and their habitat.
Following this short visit, you will hit the trails again towards the Bango Ranch. You will have the opportunity to have your aperitif there, and to regain your strength by bathing in the clear water of the pool. You will be back for Saint-Louis around 4/5 PM.
